These homeowners love spending time outdoors but needed relief from the sun as the back of their home faces south. They also wanted some privacy from the side street of their corner lot.

Their new outdoor living space includes an open courtyard bordered by an art studio (which creates privacy from the road) and covered porch. The covered porch has wood ceilings, recessed lighting and a slate floor. It provides a spectacular and relaxing space for the homeowners to enjoy.

The homeowners wanted a new covered porch and open patio to look like they were built with the house. One of the main challenges was the steep yard slope as you move away from the house.

Their beautiful new outdoor living area has three different levels to soften the size of the new patio and allow the structure to follow the slope of the yard. In addition, the exterior materials of the porch match the original structure so it looks like it was built with the house.

The metal railings, wood ceilings, recessed lights and slate floors match the exquisite finishes of the rest of the home.

This family loves entertaining and desired a nice area downstairs where they could entertain and enjoy their beautiful back yard. We built a two-story addition with an exercise room upstairs, and living room and wine room downstairs leading to a new outdoor living area with patio and outdoor kitchen. The curved bar and wine room are both dramatic focal points of the living room.

The homeowners wanted a very nice outdoor living area with kitchen, eating and sitting areas, and a fireplace. Due to property setbacks, we could only add an attached structure 12 feet deep behind this house. Our solution was to build an open patio and locate the kitchen away from the house. Since it was a detached structure with a pergola instead of a roof, it could be located farther back on the property. This allowed us to use the entire 12 foot wide area behind the house for the dining area and outdoor living room.

The finished space is spectacular with slate floors, wood ceilings, gas lamps and more. We also remodeled the indoor media room. The homeowners love the results.

When two cooks collide... it's time for a kitchen remodel! These homeowners love to cook and entertain casually with family and friends but their original kitchen had a very inefficient cooking area with a poor layout for entertaining. We gutted the kitchen and started over with a fresh redesign. We provided two food prep areas and a much more efficient traffic pattern to enable two cooks to work together at the same time. In addition, we added spaces for guests to gather and visit in the kitchen but away from the cooking areas. We also added a beautiful outdoor kitchen and patio.

The result? Harmony was restored and the kitchen is now this home's centerpiece.
